1. PSGIS offers Meraj Khalid Awards for the Promotion of Science and
Technology in Pakistan

2. PSGIS also offers financial support to deserving students.
3. PSGIS offers research topics and provides student internships to
undergraduate/garduate level students studying in different national and
private institutions.

Research Assistants: Under this new program, PSGIS provides research
assistants to senior professors/scholars to compile their research work.
This program is run jointly by PSGIS and  
Urban Development and
Environmental Research Center. The purpose is to produce text/reference
books by local researchers/professors in Pakistan.

Project based GIS Training: Under this program PSGIS joins with different
agencies in public and private sector and engage fresh graduates/students
of GIS to learn from real projects. This sort of training provides skill to young
city planners and GIS experts to interact with government officials to
understand working mechanism of public and private sector development
agencies.
